Happy New year to you all and hoping you have had a lovely Christmas.

We are back in the studio Monday 6th January so thought I would email a few dates for you to put in your diaries and update you on things.

The next exam and medal session is Sunday January 26th. All entries are now in and the timetable will be on the notice board very soon.

Atherstone Dance Festival timetable is now being put together and dates are 7/8/14/15 March 2020. Anyone who is free to help on any of these dates please let me know if you haven’t already..

The Academy’s annual show ‘Born to Dance is on Friday and Saturday May 1st & 2nd with two shows on the Saturday this year. Dress rehearsals at studio will be w/c 20th April and stage rehearsals will be Weds and Thursday 29th & 30th April. Most students will only need to attend one of these rehearsals. Show deposits should be in by February 1st This is £8 per troupe excluding performing arts, and singing classes.

Do not send costume deposits by bank transfer please can you send in cash in an envelope with students name on the front or bring in to reception and hand to either myself or Miss Lucy Jayne and a receipt will be sent straight back to you.

We are looking at Disneyland Paris for next Christmas and awaiting confirmation of being accepted and dates they can offer us. Obviously as we are taking a 20 minute show we would like to use alongside one or two existing troupes, routines from our forthcoming show plus a full team finale which will be choreographed later in the year. If you are interested please let me know by email or inbox then instead of holding an audition which I don’t feel is necessary we will look at the students we have wanting to go i.e. ages classes attended etc and try and include as many of them as possible. I feel this will be too much for the very young students but they are more than welcome to come and join us on this adventure and be included in the all the WMA Disney photos whilst we are over there and hopefully if we get to go again be the next WMA students to dance on the main stage. Should we get confirmation on our requested dates, rehearsals will start mid September and be held on Saturday afternoons or Sundays avoiding any exam dates or festival dates also should students be in pantomimes I will try and work round those times f you let me know well in advance.

Congratulations to all students taking part in pantomimes over the next few weeks have a wonderful time. Looking forward to being back at the studio next week for another exciting year ahead.

Many thanks again for all your support.
